Kenny Florian Gives Us A Breakdown Of The 'McKenzie-tine'

On Tuesday night, the 'McKenzie-tine' struck once again. TUF Season 12 cast member, Cody McKenzie, made a name for himself on the series by possessing one of the most deadly finishers in the house. McKenzie had developed a signature choke called the 'McKenzie-tine', which is a variation of the guillotine choke. Everyone knew that McKenzie was a 'one trick pony', but the problem was that no one could stop it. On Saturday night, Marcus LeVesseur's actions led us to believe that he must not have watched that season of TUF.

'The Main Tournament Of My Life' - The Greatest Kyra Gracie Documentary You'll E

This settles it. Stuart Cooper is the best BJJ/MMA related videographer out there. You doubt us? Then watch this video.

Stuart Cooper teamed up with BJJHacks and has just released the full, ‘Main Tournament Of My Life’ documentary, featuring Kyra Gracie. Not only is it top-notch production, but it’s a great lesson in how BJJ can change the lives of young children. We hear stories all the time of ‘MMA saved me from a rough childhood’ or ‘Martial Arts was my escape’. This documentary doesn’t just tell you the stories, it shows them to you. The BJJ community is an awesome group of people, and this video only solidifies my belief in that statement. For Kyra Gracie, it’s about more than jiu jitsu. It’s about changing lives.

The Longest Tournament In MMA History Finally Comes To A Close

Who remembers the original line-up for the Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix? At this point, I'm not even sure Scott Coker remembers the original line-up. But finally, we will see an end to one of the most drawn out tournaments in MMA history. Saturday night, the tournament will end when Josh Barnett and Daniel Cormier step into the cage for the tournament finals. The winner becomes the inaugural 'Strikeforce Tournament Champion' and then will promptly find himself with another promotion. Not exactly the fairy tale ending.

If you had no idea the finals were this weekend or that the tournament was still even going on, let this Strikeforce promo catch you up to speed.

Although each man has his specialty, it seems that Junior Dos Santos and Frank Mir are eager to prove they have what it takes to match the other in every area of mixed martial arts. Earlier this week, Frank Mir said that he can beat JDS in the stand-up. Shocker: Dana White Isn't The Biggest Fan Of Jiu Jitsu

I know this may shock some of you, but Dana White doesn't seem to care what's going on in the jiu jitsu world. A few of Dana's followers tracked Dana down on Twitter to ask him about Diaz no-showing at the World Jiu Jitsu Expo over the weekend. Dana not only gave his thoughts on that situation, but also let everyone know that jiu jitsu isn't fighting. And as for Braulio Estima? Turns out he's not quite on Dana's radar.

Getting The Mindset Of A Jiu Jitsu World Champion

What happens if you love jiu jitsu, but you're just terrible at it? Let's be honest, most of us have had our doubts about our ability to be any good at this sport one day. We've all had a few days were you seem to be a grappling dummy in a world of sharks. You get beat up so many times, you're wondering if you signed up for jiu jitsu classes or some sort of torture chamber. It's something I think everyone struggles with.

So how do the world's best deal with these thoughts? In this video, Felipe Costa talks about his own mental struggles with the art of jiu jitsu. Although he's a black belt world champion now, jiu jitsu wasn't always easy for Costa.
